Strengthening the Design-Build Connection: Bob Wray Joins Sustainable Design Works

River Architects is pleased to announce that Robert (Bob) Wray has joined Sustainable Design Works as Director of Construction and Development.

Bob brings more than two decades of experience in construction management, field operations, and project delivery, with a background spanning residential, commercial, multifamily, historic restoration, and high-performance building projects. Having advanced from carpenter and foreman to superintendent and director-level leadership, he offers a unique combination of hands-on building expertise and strategic project management.

As Sustainable Design Works continues to expand its construction management and building services, Bob will play a key role in strengthening the firm's ability to deliver projects from design through construction. His experience with high-performance and Passive building projects aligns closely with River Architects' commitment to sustainable, resilient, and thoughtfully crafted buildings.

Bob is already helping lead construction efforts for the Jaycox Pond House in Cold Spring, a high-performance residence designed to connect seamlessly with its natural surroundings, and will soon be overseeing work on Vivian's Village in Hyde Park, an innovative residential development focused on community, sustainability, and quality design.

The addition of Bob to the Sustainable Design Works team represents another step forward in the ongoing collaboration between River Architects and SDW. Together, the two organizations are committed to bridging design and construction, ensuring that ambitious architectural visions are realized with exceptional craftsmanship, technical excellence, and attention to detail.

We are excited to welcome Bob to the team and look forward to the projects ahead.
