Chapel Restoration Green Roof Restored
A fun and meaningful project was brought to fruition in the fall of 2023 with the repair and planting of the green roof at Chapel Restoration in Cold Spring. Initially designed by Peter Smith but not implemented according to the original design, the roof was flooding and creating myriad problems from fire hazard to mold growth.
James Hartford and the River Architects team were delighted to work with the board of the Chapel Restoration along with Liz Campbell Kelly and her team at Hudson Garden Studio to realize the original design intent.
Juhee and James attended the dedication at the Chapel, where James spoke to the crowd about Peter Smith’s beautiful original designs, and about the work of the volunteers who brought those designs to abundant lfe.
